Patten Gray

About the Client
Patten Gray is a contemporary apartment building in downtown Denver, Colorado that promotes a “socially connected” lifestyle. Residences feature stunning mountain views, luxury amenities and high-end finishes. Patten Gray is different from other Denver apartment complexes due to its artistic aesthetic that can be seen in the building’s architecture and decor.

What they needed
This project was contracted by Worboys Design.
The client needed a website that speaks to their unique style, showcases their spacious floor plans and features the historic neighborhood in which is resides. The client wanted to: display a gallery of images in an interesting way, make floor plan information quick and easy to find, and feature the many amenities residents can enjoy.

What we did
I created a custom post type with custom fields for the apartment floor plans to organize this content and display it with conditions. Custom cateogires and tags were added to create a filtering system to allow users to quickly find exactly what type of floor plan they’re interested in. A templated pop-up was also created to show floor plan information like square footage, price, etc. – this creates a smooth user experience as we are not redirecting to a new page and by simply exiting the pop-up, the user remains at their spot in the floor plan grid.
A masonry grid style with the addition of a lightbox was used for the image gallery – this adds interest to an otherwise boring grid and still makes it easy for users to zoom in on photos.
Some “flair” was also implemented through an off-canvas navigation that displays contact information and additional imagery through a changing hover effect.
