so, how does this work?
01. discovery call
Book a Discovery Call where we’ll discuss your brand, your business and your website goals. After the call, you’ll receive a contract and first invoice. Once the contract is signed and deposit is paid you’ll officially be on our books!
02. homework + prep
Before your project’s Design Day, you will complete a questionnaire as well as provide your branding, copy and images via Google Drive. You’ll also need to purchase domain and hosting before we begin.
03. customization + review
The afternoon of your Design Day, you’ll receive a demo link to review your new site. Quick feedback will be necessary so we can take care of any revisions and final tweaks.
04. launch + support
By the end of the day (or next morning, if you prefer) we’ll transfer the site to your domain and launch your brand new website! You’ll receive 2 weeks of free technical support to ensure everything is running smoothly and have the option to sign up for our monthly maintenance plan.

What do I need in order to book a Website Intensive?
In order for your Website Intensive to be successful, you should provide:
- Logo
- Brand fonts
- Brand colors
- Images
- Website Copy
If you don’t have some of those things, don’t worry!
I do have a Website Content Guide to assist you in writing your own website copy, if needed.
If you need help sourcing stock photography for you site, let me know on our Discovery Call. I’m happy to help with sourcing for an additional cost.
If your brand new and don’t have branding yet (logo, fonts, colors), let me know! We can add a Mini Brand to your project that includes a word mark logo, color palette and font system.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit is required in order to book your Website Intensive and get you officially on my calendar. The remaining 50% is due by the day of your Intensive.
Late payments can result in a cancellation of your Intensive in which your deposit will be non-refundable.
What are domain and hosting?
Both are required to launch a website on WordPress.
Your domain is the URL of your website – like scout-designco.com. I recommend Namecheap to purchase your domain. Generally, the cost is around $12/year.
A hosting account provides the space for your website to live. I recommend using WP Engine for hosting. The starter plan (probably all you’ll need) is $20/month.
Is ongoing support and maintenance available?
Support is included at no additional cost for 2 weeks following your site’s launch. Afterward, support requests can be scheduled and billed at the current hourly rate.
You’ll also have the option of joining the Monthly Maintenance Plan to keep your new website updated, backed up and secure.
Will my site be SEO optimized?
Absolutely! All Scout sites are built with SEO best practices in mind to make Google happy.
You’ll also receive an SEO checklist and tutorial to make sure each page of your site is optimized for best results.
What platform will my site be built on?
All Scout site are built on WordPress. This platform allows for complete design freedom, limitless functionality and wonderful SEO optimization. Your site will be built to be user-friendly and easy to use, making content updates and edits a breeze.
